Aysegul Sahin

Senior Economist in the Macroeconomic and Monetary Studies Function at Federal Reserve Bank of New York

Aysegul Sahin is a Senior Economist in the Macroeconomic and Monetary Studies Function at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Prior to joining the Bank, she was an Assistant Professor at Purdue University's Krannert Graduate School of Management. She has received a B.S. and a M.Sc. in electrical engineering at Bilkent University, Turkey. She has a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Rochester (2002). Her recent research focuses on the analysis of labour markets across different countries, costs of business cycles, and the welfare effects of different policies under incomplete markets.
