Julian di Giovanni is currently a Financial Research Advisor and the Head of the Climate Risk Studies Department of the Research and Statistics Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, a Research Fellow of the CEPR, and the Co-Director of the International Trade and Macroeconomics program of CEBRA. His research focuses on international spillovers and macroeconomic fluctuations. His work exploits big data to study the response of firms, banks, and consumers to economic shocks.. He received his Ph.D. in Economics in 2004 from U.C. Berkeley.
